Youth Grant
PURPOSE
To support and encourage local youth interested in studying performing arts, or getting relevant performing arts experience, in musical theatre.
CRITERIA
To apply for the grant you must meet the following criteria:
• Must be under the age of 20 as at 31 December in the year the grant is being applied for;
• Must live in the Horowhenua District local government area;
• The grant must be put towards the applicant’s performing arts knowledge. This can be in the form of performing arts training, attending a relevant experience or course, or any related fees;
• This grant can only be applied to recent costs (such as fees that have been paid for training, and the training is still to occur), or for costs yet to be incurred in the year;
• Applications will be accepted from anyone that meets the criteria, however preference will be given to applicants that have been, or currently are, actively involved in Levin Performing Arts Society.
VALUE
The grant up to the amount of $500 will be paid to the successful applicant in April 2025.

All applications must be received before 5pm on 28 February 2025 The applications will be assessed by an appointed sub-committee of the Society and their decision is final. The successful applicant will be required to provide bank account details in their name and a copy of current photo identification.
The successful applicant will be required to make a small presentation to the Society Committee about the performing arts experiences they gained with the use of the grant.
