Society wins the Federation of Operatic Societies competition "Chappell’s Disaster Award'' (what went wrong), for the Jesus Christ Superstar production.

Society gains first place in the non-commercial section of the Chronicle Christmas Parade for its float from the production of Chicago.

The Society float of Annie placed as runner-up in the non-commercial section of the Chronicle Christmas Parade.

The Society float from the production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat placed as runner-up in the non-commercial section of the Chronicle Christmas Parade.

Youth Artistic Awards
In 1995, the Society in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Levin introduced an artistic award for a four-year period. The award was for 15- to 19-year olds who wished to attend further training to develop their skills in the performing arts. Recipients to reside in the Horowhenua and the award had a monetary value of $500. Recipients were:
1996 – Alison Cormack and Katie Rothnie
1997 – Darlene Mohekey and Alice Beban
1998 – Lynda Morris, Robert Broughton, and Kushla Stewart
1999 – Katie Cotter
This award arrangement then expired, and the Society joined the Horowhenua Creative Communities Committee in continuing this scheme for a two-year period. Recipients were:
